Songwriter Drum Tracks

Pre-recorded drum tracks in "song form" to inspire songwriters in their creative process.

If you're tired of programming drum machines or pasting loops to get inspiration, then check out Songwriter Drum Tracks. All ten tracks on each CD have a wide range of tempos and grooves that help you create GREAT songs from soft brush ballads to hard driving, up-tempo rockers.

Below are .mp3 samples of each CD and the individual descriptions of each "drum song". To listen to the samples or see the descriptions of each song, please click the red links next to each title.

Each "drum song" is between 3:00 to 4:15 minutes in length. There is a "count off" click at the beginning of each track and all tempos are noted in beats per minute (BPM). Most importantly, these tracks were recorded using REAL acoustic drums as opposed to drum samples that can sometimes sound sterile or inappropriate for certain styles of music.

You can choose the file format that works best for you: Audio CD or .mp3 (for download).

LICENSING INFORMATION
All tracks on these CDs are licensed for personal use and are "royalty free". You can also use them for commercial release with the stipulation that "Jim McCarty and www.drum-tracks.com" be included in the credits. What you can't do is re-sell these drum tracks themselves as an original piece of music or as a sample CD, or include them (modified or not, i.e. "loops") as part of a sample CD.

CUSTOM EDITING
If you require custom editing to the arrangement of any track on the 7 CDs, please contact me for a quote. Or, if you don't have a digital editor, you can use Audacity. Audacity is a free, easy-to-use audio editor and recorder for Windows, Mac OS X, GNU/Linux, and other operating systems. It allows you to edit, and change tempo as well as a list of other features.
